Eat Spinach

Spinach originally comes from Asia or Persia where it grew in the wild, and has been cultivated in China for the past 2000 years. The Moors introduced spinach into Spain in the 11th century, and soon became popular for use as a bed to place entrees upon.

Today China is the world’s largest producer of spinach, and the United States the second biggest commercial producer.

Some of Spinach's Health Benefits

  • Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K and folic acid. It’s a very good source of manganese.
  • Studies have demonstrated that diets high in dark green vegetables such as spinach are associated with a decreased risk of colon cancer. Spinach extracts have been created to be used in controlled studies, and these extracts slow down cell division in stomach cancer cells. A study has shown a high intake of spinach lowers your chances of cancer.

  • Spinach is one of the richest dietary sources of lutein, a carotenoid that has been implicated as being protective against cataracts. Zeaxanthin is another carotenoid found in spinach, and in a study at Centre for Eye Research in Australia, it was found that dietary lutein intake was associated with decreased prevalence of nuclear cataract.

  • Cancer
Overwhelming evidence suggests that small and soft-fleshed berries such as the blueberry may have beneficial effects against several types of human cancers. The ability of the bioactive phytochemicals of berries to counteract, reduce, and repair oxidative stress damage, is responsible for the blueberries’ anticancer potential.

Ingredients To Watch Out For

There are a lot of chemicals being used in supposed natural skin care products, that are not really good for you. They are considered natural since they are derived from natural ingredients, but they are not really natural. They have some harmful side effects that have been clinically researched and proven. One ingredient that is found in many "supposed" natural skin care products is Sodium Borate. It is believed to lead to cancer, lead to developing reproductive toxicity, and organ system toxicity. A safe recommended substitute for this would be Behenyl Alcohol which pretty much does the same job. Also I would recommend using Palm Stearic Acid, Tamanu Seed oil, or Behenyl Stearic Acid instead of Stearic Acid. Over exposure to Stearic Acid may lead to cancer, and causes extreme irritation to the skin. Lastly I would suggest Vegetable Cetyl Alcohol as a substitute to Cetyl Alcohol. Cetyl alcohol in significant doses can also lead to extreme irritation of the skin.

The Past and Future of Natural Skin Care

A lot of women are taught here in the US, that oils are bad for your skin at an early age. That is why when we think of beauty products we tend to think of creams and lotions. A lot of women( and men) are starting to realize that this isn't the case. There are some oils in natural skin care products that do take a while to absorb into your skin. These are usually found in massage oils and other body oils. A majority of facial oil skincare products do not contain these types of oils. Who wants oils that just sit on the surface of your face, slowly absorbing into your skin? Nobody.
Women in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Mediterranean have been using natural skin care products as a preferred means of skin treatment. Natural oils have been around since the beginning of time. When I see women in these parts of the world. I hardly ever see cases of dried out skin. When I look at some of the women in the US that use these supposed high-end cosmetics, it seems when they don't use the these artificial cosmetics their skin is about to peel off. Like everything else in our society, it seems these products we see all around, us are catered to get a certain organ of our body addicted. Fast food for our stomach, cigarettes for our lungs, and artificial cosmetics for our skin.
I personally believe that natural beauty products will dominate the market here in the near future. The trend of natural beauty, that has been widespread in other parts of the world, is now making it over to this great country of ours. More and more of these high-end cosmetics companies, are selling more natural products everytime we turn around. They're finally starting to realize, what a prized commodity natural skin care really is.

The Truth

Some of these cosmetic companies claim to have the top of the line skincare products, but a majority of the time they are selling you a bunch of falsehoods. They'll say their skincare will get rid of wrinkles in three to four weeks. They'll tell you their skincare products will turn back the age clock by ten to twenty years. They'll tell you their beauty products will make you feel eighteen again. They'll tell you that their best products have been clinically tested and proven. Lies, lies, and more lies!
Let' s be honest with ourselves. A lot of these skincare companies that are making these claims, are selling you supposed beauty products with "toxic" chemicals in them . You might see some results within a couple weeks; at best your lines and wrinkles might be smoothed out. In the long run though by using some of these companies supposed" beauty products"you're doing more harm than good. In the long run, their products will end up drying out your skin, and make your skin more chemically dependent on them.
The good cosmetic companies will tell you the facts. They won't tell you, what miracles you might want to hear, by using their products, but instead what their products are really going to do for you. The best beauty products I have seen, that actually do what they are going to say, are natural skincare lines.

The Berber People

The Berber people of Morocco are an interesting ethnic group indeed. They are a combination of all three of the major religions Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Despite all these different religions, they have managed to live in peace for hundreds of years. My grandfather was Berber, and I remember going back to his tribal village to witness some of their spiritual rituals. It was very interesting indeed. Unfortunately, the Berber language is not officially recognized in Morocco, despite the large population of Moroccans who have Berber blood.
They have always been viewed as outsiders for their different ritual practices; in Morocco and Israel as well. Lately, they have been assimilating themselves into modern society in both countries. It's kind of hard to tell if anybody has pure Berber blood anymore . The Berbers in Morocco have been mixing with the Arabs for hundreds of years, and the Berbers in Israel have been mixing with the local population there as well. This once great culture, may eventually just be another page in history.

Benefits of Natural Oils

Most people are unaware of the many beneficial qualities that natural oils have. We have been taught at a young age that oils are bad for you skin, but this is not true at all. Besides the Argan oil( of course) one of my favorite natural oils is Jojoba. Jojoba oil is known to be great for moisturizing the skin. Jojoba oil also possesses many anti-aging properties as well. Another one of my all-time favorites has to be Ylang Ylang oil. Ylang Ylang oil is great for treating ailments and other problems. It is commonly used to boost sensuality, and is commonly known as an aphrodisiac. Besides Argan oil and Jojoba oil, Apricot oil is one of the most useful oils for your skin. Apricot oil is high in Vitamin A and E. This great natural oil is soothing for sensitive and dry skin. It helps maintain a healthy natural balance. I like to eat it, and apply it for my skin use as well. Coconut Oil is great for moisturizing the skin and helps maintain a great softness to it as well.
Grapefruit oil is also another great moisturizer for the skin. It is more well-known for its wonderful scent though. A natural oil that has been around for what seems like eternity is
sunflower oil. Sunflower oil is also known as being a great moisturizer for the skin. It also helps a great protective barrier that resists infection. Due to late research findings on this great quality of sunflower oil, a lot of mothers are using it as skincare for their infants. Roman Chamomile has a number of skincare benefits as well. Although, it is more well-known as a regularly prescribed treatment in aromatherapy as a calming agent.

Tree Climbing Goats Love Moroccan Beauty Secret

I saw the most interesting picture, and I had to share it with everybody. Apparently these tree climbing goat in Morocco, love to feast on what is known as the argan fruit. This fruit is used to make one of the rarest and most useful oils known as Argan oil. This amazing organic oil has been used for centuries by the Berber women of Morocco for its amazing anti-aging, skin healing, and therapeutic properties. These goats consider Argan oil to be a delicacy, and everytime they get a chance to feast on it, they will. The Argan tree is reputed to take back some twenty-five million years. It used to be considered a rare treasure by European traders, and they would take it back to their wives as gifts. Argan oil, started taking off in Europe several years ago, when women in the modeling industry started using it for its amazing cosmetic properties. It is actually now starting to become well-known in the US as well. I had a chance to use some when I was in Israel and Morocco, and it really does do wonders for the skin. I would recommend purchasing the deodorized Argan oil, since the natural strong "nutty" odor of the Argan oil is found to be to over-bearing for skincare use.

Stay Natural

By using natural skincare products you will reduce the number of carcinogens (cancer-causing substances) that enter your body. Our largest organ, our skin, is very porous and absorbs many of the carcinogens found in bath and body products. It is believed that the less carcinogens you put into your body, the more you can decrease your chances of getting a number of chronic illnesses and diseases. Natural skincare products do not contain these.
The Cancer Society in Canada says that cancer now affects 1 in 2.6 women and 1 in 2.3 men. Numerous studies suggest that these rates are caused by the increasing number of carcinogens in food, products, and the environment. These scary stats should be enough to get everybody to start using natural skincare products.
To make sure you’re getting the best, purest ingredients into your body, take a few minutes to read the ingredients label of any product that you currently use. There’s a good chance you won’t know what most of the ingredients are, and you probably wouldn’t want to. 100% natural skincare products don’t have any artificial chemical ingredients, and are more safe and more effective, than most mainstream products because they don’t contain synthetic ingredients which may be toxic to your system. Synthetic ingredients are less expensive to use and that is why they are used in most name-brand products. Many people believe that chemically-induced skincare products have better anti-aging properties. This is a complete falsehood. Women have been using natural skincare as a preferred means of anti-aging in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East for centuries, and some of those women have the most beautiful skin I've ever seen. It seems like America is finally catching onto what has been working for centuries, in other parts of the world.
